As we prepare for another important milestone of moving onboard the Disney Destiny as our new home, here is some important information regarding your upcoming transition to living onboard:

Personal Protective Equipment

Since much of the ship will still be under construction when we transition on board, Crew and Officers will be required to wear Personal Protective equipment while moving around the ship at all times. This includes the following items provided to you upon your arrival to Germany and the Netherlands:

  • Hard Hats
  • Steel-toed Shoes
  • Reflective Wear (vests or jackets)
  • FFP2 Mask

If you do not have the proper PPE, contact your leader immediately.

Policies & Procedures

All Disney Cruise Line Policies and Procedures will be followed onboard.

Drugs and Alcohol Policy

Alcohol is not allowed onboard while the ship is located at the shipyard. The zero-tolerance alcohol policy is in accordance with Meyer Werft regulations, and all Crew living onboard are required to abide by this policy. This means you cannot bring any alcohol of any kind on board with you, and you are not able to have it delivered to the ship.

  • Those who attempt to bring alcohol of any kind on board (beer, wine, liquor) will be banned entry for two years into any Meyer Werft facility and will not be allowed onto the ship
  • Breathalyzer alcohol tests may be conducted by Meyer Werft at the gangway
    • DCL employees may not have a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.08% or greater. Certain employees, based on their duties, may not have a BAC of 0.04% or greater at any time
  • Although several jurisdictions have legalized marijuana for medicinal and/or recreational use, it remains prohibited under the Company policy

Wi-Fi Reminder

  • While we plan to have Wi-Fi on board throughout our time in Eemshaven, please remember to sign out whenever you are not actively using it to save bandwidth
  • WhatsApp, iMessage, Twitter, Facebook Messenger, etc. will be available
  • You will not have access to stream or download any music or movies

Cash & ATMs

  • No cash will be used once we board the ship – this includes no access to an ATM and you will not be able to use cash to settle crew accounts

Shopping & Deliveries

  • We will not have a Crew Shop, on board, until delivery.
  • Packages may be sent to the ship in Eemshaven using the following address:
