Always follow safety precautions to protect your valuables when traveling and while ashore. Please keep the following tips in mind while off the ship or traveling to or from the vessel.
- Be vigilant in crowded places where tourists and large crowds gather. Airports, metro stations, open air terraces and lines to enter buildings can be attractive locations for pickpockets who are very skilled using distraction techniques.
- If you do need to carry a bag, please carry money, passports, and other important documents in a money belt or other secure carrying case.
- Do not keep large amounts of cash with you or show money in public.
- And remember, never leave your bag unattended and always maintain constant visibility of all bags, backpacks and carry-ons.
Exercising caution, public vigilance, and awareness of surroundings remains of the utmost importance to maintain personal safety.
- Make sure you know what to do once you arrive. We encourage you to know your plan below before you travel, so you will be prepared once you arrive. Review your travel itinerary once you receive it, and review the travel and arrival instructions related to your arrival city and embarkation port. Be sure that you are prepared and know where you need to go. We strongly recommend you screenshot and/or print the information that you will need as Wi-Fi access could be limited while you are traveling.
- Keep your important documents with you at all times. When packing, make sure your passport, visas, and required certificates are readily accessible. You may be asked to present your documents at the airport before boarding your flight and upon arrival at your destination at Immigration or Customs. Please be sure that you know where these documents are and keep them secure.
