After Receiving Your Contract

☑ Be sure to thoroughly review the Know Before You Go section for key pre-arrival details and to continue to familiarize yourself with the Disney Look guidelines and our health and safety requirements prior to the start of your contract.

☑ Upload your signed onboarding documents including your contract to DOC. Click to Upload.

☑ Review your travel itinerary and check for travel advisories. Check with your airline and destination's embassy if health info, departure testing, or other documents specific to your nationality are required to board your flight as well as successfully arrive at your final destination without travel interruptions or delays.

• Take the free underground tram located one level below the baggage claim area. The hotel is located between terminals B and C.

Please ask the front desk for a "Hotel Welcome Letter" if you don't receive one at check-in. This letter contains important information about your stay and includes a health screening form, which you'll need to fill out for embarkation day.

Your room has been designated as a smoke-free room. Smoking or vaping is not allowed during your stay.

Your room will not be serviced during your stay; however, if you need fresh linens or towels, you may request them.

Complimentary high-speed internet and Wi-Fi will be available.

Complimentary meal information will be provided upon hotel check-in.

Dining Information: DCL Crew Members are entitled to breakfast, lunch, and dinner each full day of their stay. Your meal allotment is based on anticipated time of check-in to the hotel. The exact allowance will be provided by the front desk. Please keep in mind alcohol is not included in your meal allowance. If you purchase alcohol or go over your allowance you need to pay for this at check-out. When paying for meals, please add a tip in accordance with local customs if a gratuity is not already included.

All crew members, regardless of position, must possess a valid STCW Personal Survival Techniques (PST)certification.

If you do not already possess a valid PST certificate, your mandatory PST training is scheduled shoreside the day after your arrival, unless otherwise instructed.

It is recommended to wear a bathing suit underneath your clothing if you have one.

Transportation for PST will leave promptly at 6:45 AM.

DO NOT BE LATE FOR THE BUS! THIS IS IMPORTANT.​

If you are in Houston for PST, it will take place the first two mornings after you arrive. Please refer to your “welcome aboard” email if you have any questions. ​

Please bring a TOWEL and SWIMWEAR/change of clothes with you. ​

Please be sure to have breakfast before class. Lunch will be provided by the facility.​

Your in-person Orientation Training known as “Disney Traditions,” is scheduled 1 day prior to your embarkation, unless otherwise instructed.

You must be within Disney Look guidelines in order to attend the class.

• Please dress accordingly with weather-appropriate clothing.
• No shorts, tank tops, torn jeans, sandals, hats, or t-shirts with words.
• For safety and comfort reasons, closed-toe shoes for walking, sunscreen, and water bottle are recommended.

Traditions is a REQUIRED training and will be held the day before you embark the ship. ​

Please have breakfast before class. ​

Please come with a photo ID or passport. Lunch will be provided at Traditions.​

Class will start promptly at 9:00AM .

The bus to the port is scheduled to depart at 5:30 AM.

PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE FOR THE BUS! ​

☑ Check out at least 15 minutes before the bus departure time.​

☑  Complete the Health Questionnaire Form provided at check-in. If you select “yes” to any question on this questionnaire, do not leave your room and contact the DCL Medical Team at +1-407-566-3605.

☑ A breakfast box can be picked up on the lobby level of the hotel on the morning of embarkation beginning at 5:00 AM. You may eat this on the bus; however, please clean up after yourself and do not leave trash on the bus.

☑ You must stop at the front desk to check out in person. You are responsible for paying any additional charges you signed to your room. ​

☑ After check-out, please proceed to board the bus for embarkation​.

Please be sure you have your passport and all safety certificates placed in your hand luggage. This will ensure they are easily accessible as you are required to turn them in upon boarding the vessel.​

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), there has been an increase in the number of crew members who have absconded in U.S. ports, across the cruise line industry. When a crew member fails to join a ship or departs a ship with no intention of returning, and stays in a country illegally, this is known as absconding. Disney Cruise Line works closely with CBP to reduce the number of absconders and reports missing or suspected absconding Crew Members immediately.

In addition, CBP has reported an increase in human trafficking among the people involved in these cases. This is a serious safety concern. In some cases, crew members may be promised a better job on shore with more pay or certain housing conditions, in return for the crew member entering the country illegally. Instead, they are put in a dangerous situation.
